House Favorite! Red-tinged batavian head lettuce. The plants produce uniform large heads, crisp, sweet, with a bronze blush. Long standing even in summer and a bolt resistant variety. We have been growing this variety at Yarroway Farm since 2012. This strain has been grown biodynamically at Raphael Garden in California for almost two decades.

This is a life-changing lettuce variety, grows in almost any condition without bolting. Leaves are delicious and tender at any size and don’t get bitter in high temps. Can get multiple harvests from a single plant by removing the outer leaves, they grow back to a harvestable size in just a week or so. Grow in small containers and shallow soils too.
