Belongs to the Roselle family. This green-stem variant is less sour compared to the red-stem gongura, and has a mild tart flavor. Often prepared as a chutney/pickle or cooked with meat. Popular known as Tella Gongura in Andhra Pradesh. They need full sun and warm weather to grow.
