Hopi Black Dye Sunflower

A Hopi heirloom prized for its purple-black seeds, used especially for coloring wool and baskets. The colors you can obtain from the seed hulls range from a gentle, warm lavender to a cool, black-velvet. Best variety for dehulling. Plants produce stunning 7-11′ stalks with 5-13″ heads and sub flowers.
