This heirloom has been grown by the Bowling family of Virginia since the 1920s. Early, productive, and beautiful long, slim, tender red pods. Mild, earthy flavor, and sweeter than the green varieties. The pods stay quite tender, even when they grow long. Plants grow 7-8' tall and have deep red stems.
