Cinnamon Basil

Ocimum basilicum. This variety contains cinnamite, a compound that gives the herb its cinnamon flavor. This sweet-spicy basil produces 2-3" serrated leaves and pretty lavender color blooms. Aroma is of cinnamon, mint, with a touch of anise. Used mainly as a garnish. Plants can grow 3' tall and wide.
