May Queen Lettuce

Also known as ‘Reine de Mai’, this is a wonderful 19th Century French heirloom. Large heads with tender green leaves, yellow hearts, and a slight blush of pink near the centre. It has a smooth texture and nice buttery sweet flavor. Early maturing, and an excellent choice for gourmet kitchen gardens.
