The most famous and tastiest heirloom squash that is known for its rich, dry, yellow-orange flesh and distinctive nutty flavor. The fruits are small-medium size and have a creamy beige thin skin and an elongated shape, which is thicker at one end. Vines grow 8-10 feet and produce 4-5 squashes per plant. Harvest when fruit turns brown and the top stem starts drying. They have a super sweet flavor, that makes brilliant soups and stews. A long storage variety that sits pretty in your vegetable shelf until you are ready to eat it. Drip irrigate for best results.
